Ok. So I don't do this blogging thing. But I have to tell this. We have been on a few excursions lately, last month to a game reserve on the Limpopo river. We got back to our chalet on one occasion, and I heard a yell. "how did you miss that?" What???
It turned out a likkle snake had decided to visit, slithered into our bush shower ( outdoor shower, surrounder by a reed screen). I grabbed the snake book and immediately discovered that snake was not dangerous to humans, and promptly went and touched it's tail. Well. don't know who got the bigger fright, snake or hubby! Snake took off at a rate of knots, hubby yelled that I had a death wish. But wait, 2 weeks later, elsewhere in the country, on a dark and winding road. Suddenly, a u-turn, because himself has spotted something, he thinks a puff-adder. The most dangerous snake in the country, because it doesn't move, as most snakes do, it lies in wait, and then strikes. No problem. I, who have no fear of snakes, get out and approach the creature, to verify what we saw. Hubby was very encouraging that I go and check out the puffy. No problem, it eyed me, and I eyed it back. Snake book describes it as a slow-moving, bad-tempered snake that should NEVER be approached. Hmm.
